The House of Odiot was founded in 1690 and for over three centuries the company of silversmiths has maintained it's fabulous tradition of creating fine masterpieces in 950 sterling silver and gold plated sterling silver (vermeil). For five generations the firm has been silversmiths to the Kings and Queens of Europe as well as Presidents and Emperors around the world.
Today the firm still maintains it's ranking as one of the best silversmiths in the world. This amazing 126pc. flatware set in 950 sterling silver is a stunning example of the outstanding craftsmanship of the firm. The luxurious dessert knives with Mother-of-Pearl handles are by a different manufacturer and each bears the French Government's Head of the Minerva 2 hallmark. The dainty coffee / teaspoons are also by a different manufacturer in a complimentary pattern but bear the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark. The remaining flatware pieces all bear the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark in addition to the House of Odiot manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark.
