This set is in very good condition - although the original custom made storage chests have seen better days . Each piece bears the hallmark of the French Government's "Head of the Minerva - 1" Hallmark, certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver in addition to the manufacturer's sterling silver hallmarks of Philippe Berthier or Thomas & Henin. Phlippe Berthier operated in Paris between 1841 and 1851. Thomas & Henin operated in Paris between 1861 and 1865.
