Founded in 1893, the “House of Lapparra” currently located in the historic district of “The Marais” at 157 rue du Temple here in Paris, has been serving French and European royalty for generations. Known for their intricate craftsmanship and the outstanding quality of the flatware and tableware products, the House of Lapparra exemplifies the history of prestige that meets creativity, and an incredibly rich heritage as shown by their impressive cutlery collections.
This set is in extremely good condition and comes with a stunning 5 drawer, marble top storage cabinet and 28 serving pieces. The majority of the set is stored in the 5-drawer storage cabinet and the overflow pieces are stored in accompanying smaller storage chests. Each of the main flatware pieces bears the hallmark of the French Government's "Head of the Minerva - 1" Hallmark, certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver in addition to the Henri Lapparra manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark. The rare Mother-of-Pearl dessert knives with silver blades bears the French Governments Minerva-2 hallmark and the G.B. manufacturer's hallmark.
