This set is in extremely good condition. Each piece, except for the Mother-of-Pearl handled knives, bears the hallmark of Master French Silversmith "Armand Fresnae" in addition to the French Government's "Head of the Minerva - 1" Hallmark, certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver. Armand Fresnae operated at 77 Boulevard Richard-Lenoir in the 11th District of Paris between 1877 and 1927. The sterling silver blades on the Mother-of-Pearl handled dessert knives also bears the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark in addition to the "Gustave Picault" sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark. Gustave Picault operated at 46 rue Dauphine in the 6th District of Paris from 1855. The set is of exceptional quality and craftsmanship and really is in superb condition.
