Olier & Caron have long been recognized as one of France's premier suppliers of fine silver. Each piece in this amazing set is skillfully handcrafted with the fine workmanship that has made their brand a legend. Renowned for their elegant styling and the legendary quality of their products, this set is an exemplary testimony of the quality and luxury enjoyed by the French aristocracy. This set is in extremely good condition. Each of sterling silver pieces bears the hallmark of Master French Silversmith "Olier & Caron" in addition to the French Government's "Head of the Minerva - 1" hallmark, certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver. Olier & Caron operated at 39 rue de Turbigo in the 3rd District of Paris from 1910 to 1936. The Mother-of-Pearl handled knives also bears the French Government's "Head of the Minerva - 1" hallmark but the sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark is illegible.
